Bridesmaid Robes – Sizing
How to select the perfect fit for your bridal party:
Most bridesmaid robes on the market come in one size fits all. We found that this didn’t cater for a proper fit on smaller ladies, so we have designed two sizes in our range that cater for most body shapes and sizes.
Our bridesmaid robes come in two sizes:
S/M: Designed to fit sizes 6-10. A size 12 could wear our s/m it just might mean it is better worn untied or with a camisole underneath.
L/Xl: Designed to fit size 10-16. We have size 18 customers who wear our satin robes, they just wear a satin slip and wear it open, not tied up.
The L/XL is the equivalent to other brands ‘one size fits all’. Bridesmaid robes aren’t designed to be fitted items, so there is some lenience when you are selecting sizes as the belt ties in the middle and creates the ‘fitted’ appearance.
If you are unsure of sizing or think someone might be in between sizes we recommend going with the L/XL. It means it will be a little bigger and a little longer than the smaller size, however as mentioned, tieing the belt in the middle will eliminate any issues.
It is also what your bridesmaids will feel more comfortable in – if they are on the cusp/between sizing, you want them to feel comfortable and not feeling like the robe is too small or gaping.
Bridesmaid robe sizing is pretty forgiving given the cut and fit of the item, but if you are really stuck, get in contact and we can guide you and help you along the way.
A few tips:
- If your bridesmaid is tall – go the L/XL
- If you bridesmaid is medium to tall height with a larger breast – go the L/XL
